books for living & aging well

I’ve been hankering for books on living and aging well, written by women, not filled with stats and yes; eat more protein.

I dont mind science, I understand its necessary. But there’s an abundance of that kind of material.

What I want is to read words on aging well (yes I’m getting older)and thoughts, ideas and suggestions on how to do that living well.

Yes, I’ll :

  • eat more protein

  • I’ll drink more water₊˚.༄

  • Lifting weights (returning next week)

  • I will try to get some good sleep(magnesium citrate definitely helps me)

  • & yes, I’ll take all my vitamins(magnesium included♡.

But……..

I want to be inspired, uplifted, to step into that beautiful steady stream of language and love about getting older. I want to read about ladies ahead of me, their sometimes whimsical ideas, poems that cherish this getting older business, recipes for morning tea, why sunshine is like a prayer on my skin.

Why life some days feels like a hymn.

I want the ROMANCE OF LIVING.

And I’ve found a few books that together are a heady mix of THAT, OF WHAT I LOVE.

It turns out some of these books I’ve had for a long time. One is now featuring caramel coloured pages, the white is long gone. Much underlining, which always makes me smile as I remember that’s what spoke to me then, but now in my last half of 56 I’m different to what I was in my 40’s… yes of course.

So I’m loving these books & I thought you might too.
