I’m not for everyone

My offerings, my zines, my mood and vibe along with my writing and photography isn’t for everyone. And I’m okay with that.

The reason I’m okay with this, is this.

At the age I’m at, which we can call mid to late 50’s I’ve had enough life experience, enough time in the field, to know that once you have formulated an view on something, once you’ve put your name behind something, that there will be people that will challenge you, disagree with you, question you, tell you what they think of your offerings (yes, even if you haven’t asked) and the more you go on and create and do, the more there will be of that.

And I think this is part of life.

Life is creation.

Every day you are creating.

And each time you make a choice, someone will have a different one.

You see, I simply can’t appeal to everyone.

I have my own unique perspective and its coloured by my lived experience, my upbringing, my DNA & my parents lives passed to me.

I love photography and my camera is my devotional tool. I see life most happily through the lens of my camera. Am I technically good? Perhaps not. But I’m focused on the mood, the joy, the feel of receiving that moment through the lens of my camera.

I’m not out ‘getting’ photos. I see little pockets of joy, tiny scenes in life, mostly buildings, flowers, tea settings, and it makes me feel a certain way. Photography is a portal to receiving, not getting. These become the food for the meditations I write, the questions I ask of myself & offer to you.

Its the way my eyes feel when I rest on a particular photo.

Its how I came to write The Beauty of Living. Because seeing and feeling life this way is the beauty of living life with a philosophical lens. Its just in me. I cant see life as a cut and dry event. That we are just here randomly. My heart needs to make sense of things, of happenings.

And this is what makes my offerings mine.

I hope you enjoy them, but if you dont, hey that’s fine.
